I am originally from Mount Maunganui. After 6 years of studying at the University of Otago, I have returned home to give back to my community.
My clinical psychology training focussed on building a strong foundation in assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions. I also completed a Master's of Arts where my research focussed on the relationship between bullying and suicidal thinking among students.
My experience includes working in community teams and privately to support children and adults with emotional difficulties, such as anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, and first-episode psychosis.
Although I have a background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, I also have skills in various evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My approach is always tailored to individual needs.
Clinical interests include, but are not limited to;
- Anxiety
- Bullying
- Depression
- Eating difficulties
- Managing emotions and stress
- Neurodivergence (ADHD and ASD assessments)
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder
I am currently accepting referrals for individual adult clients, children, adolescents, and their families.
